Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Columbia Memorial Stair Climb to honor, remember and celebrate all public servants whom have perished while answering the call of duty, specifically those lost due to the events of September 11, 2001. Through education, symbolic physical achievements and comradery, our fallen and their ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten. We will strive to keep their legacy alive, as well as provide an outlet of assistance to those they have left behind, in the spirit of brotherhood.
Values
Pride- We are proud of our attendants and the accomplishment they achieve by climbing the equivalent of 110 floors. Were proud to offer an event that allows public servants and the public to join together to learn about and uphold the legacies. We are proud to remember the fallen heroes.
Honor- We honor the sacrifices of all of the fallen whom perished from the events of September 11th 2001. We honor all members of public services whom have perished while selflessly performing their required job duties.
Integrity-All actions at all times, represent the event. Consequently behavior that will result in a negative impact to the event (including the character of those involved with the event) cannot be tolerated. A principal component of integrity is honesty, which builds trust. Trust is the foundation of any productive relationship.
Education- To educate is to remember. We strive to offer participants an opportunity to learn of the events that happened on September 11th 2001 and of the selfless sacrifice made by 70 police officers, 9 emergency medical technicians, and 343 firefighters. We will not allow those members to be forgotten. EVER
